  • I want to do Maximum intensity projection

    dear all,
    I am building a medical application i want to have a Maximum Intensity Projection(MIP) using the sobliqueslice or the soorthoslice composition field
    i have tried alot but i haven't got any good results, this is my scenegraph

    std::vector<SoOrthoSlice*>slices;
    int index = 0;
    root->ref();
    root->addChild( light );
    root->addChild( pVolData );
    root->addChild( pDataRange);
    root->addChild( pTransFunction );
    for(int i = 10; i<20;i++ ){
    slices.push_back(new SoOrthoSlice);
    slices[index]->sliceNumber.setValue(i);
    slices[index]->composition.setValue(SoVolumeShape::MAX_INTENSI TY );
    root->addChild( slices[index] );
    index++;
    }

    the result is avolume of the 10 slices (from 10 to 20) without any effect of composition.

    if any one has an idea of what to get the MIP effect for acertain number of slices???

    please answer me as soon as possible as this problem is bothering me too much.
