  • Two (or more) viewers, in separate windows sharing same scene graph

    Dear Mike,
    Dear Users,

    Please,
    I have (maybe) a simple question about possibility to have separate (floating) windows (with own SoWinExaminerViewer for example) showing the same 3D scene, that is to say sharing the same root SoSeparator;

    is it possible?
is there an example or little suggestion in order to have a first implementation way?

Thank You very much in advance.

    Best Regards,
    Vincenzo

    Hi Vincenzo,
Yes, that is possible. One small note (which may be completely obvious) - generally you want each viewer to have its own root Separator and its own camera node. It is also possible to share the camera node, but that is not so useful.
    Code:
    root1
       |- camera1
       |- sharedScene

    root2
       |- camera2
       |- sharedScene
    Small example attached: Test_MultiViewerSharedScene.zip
    Regards,
    Mike
